Your mornings here start with reading new papers and your afternoons end with training runs that actually moved the needle. You'll prototype architectures that let an agent infer what a user wants before they finish asking, then shepherd the promising ones into production-grade systems. The three of us currently ship everything ourselves — you'll be the fourth, shaping how research translates to working software.
What they're looking for
- Published or substantial unpublished work in LLMs, agents, or autonomous systems — depth beats breadth
- Fluent in PyTorch and distributed training; you debug loss curves like they're stack traces
- 2+ years shipping ML systems, or a PhD with equivalent grit in getting experiments to converge
- Comfortable owning a research thread from vague hypothesis to validated model, alone or in pairs
- On-site in San Francisco; early enough that every decision is still reversible and every hire reshapes the culture
