You'll lead the team that figures out how to build complex electromechanical assemblies at scale—translating lab prototypes into repeatable, cost-effective production lines. Day to day, you're digging into fixture design, dialing in assembly sequences, and troubleshooting why a tolerance stack went sideways. You work shoulder-to-shoulder with mechanical designers, supply chain, and contract manufacturers to keep hardware moving. Python scripts and REST-connected shop-floor systems are tools you reach for when spreadsheets won't cut it.

What they're looking for

  • 7+ years of hands-on manufacturing engineering experience, with at least 3 in a leadership role
  • Deep expertise in electromechanical assembly processes, DFM, and supplier development for low-to-mid volume production
  • Proven track record launching and scaling robotic or precision hardware products
  • Proficiency with Python for data analysis, process automation, or API integration with manufacturing systems
  • BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent; on-site presence in San Francisco required
