Your mornings are spent on the bench: wiring seeker heads, IMUs, and flight computers into a sensor stack, then hunting down the flaky ground loop or misconfigured SPI bus that's corrupting the data. You'll write Python to automate calibration, chew through telemetry logs from static fires, and sit shoulder-to-shoulder with GNC and flight software engineers to make sure what the vehicle perceives matches reality. This is hands-on integration on real flight hardware for a small Los Angeles team where the path from your bench work to a live test article is measured in weeks, not years.
What they're looking for
- 8-15 years integrating sensor or perception hardware (EO/IR, radar, IMUs) on aerospace, robotics, or comparable high-reliability systems
- Fluent in Python for test automation, data reduction, and hardware bring-up
- Deep bench debugging skills: buses, timing, grounding, and signal integrity issues on embedded platforms
- Comfortable owning hardware-in-the-loop and flight test support end to end
- Based in or willing to work on-site in Los Angeles; active U.S. security clearance or ability to obtain one preferred
