We train medical professionals the way pilots train in simulators—through immersive, judgment-free repetitions with realistic AI patients who talk back, reveal symptoms, and challenge diagnostic instincts. As the first engineering hire beyond the founders, you will own the bridge between our core simulation engine and the clinical educators, schools, and hospital programs that depend on it. This means designing and deploying customized training scenarios, building internal tooling that speeds up our delivery cycles, and sitting directly beside customers to translate their messy real-world needs into product. You will shape both the early codebase and the engineering culture itself.
What they're looking for
- 0–4 years of professional software engineering experience; raw ability and curiosity outweigh years on a resume
- Comfortable writing production code in modern languages (Python, TypeScript, or similar) and navigating cloud infrastructure
- Eager to spend meaningful time on-site with clinical users—listening, debugging, and improving the product in real time
- Clear, precise communicator who can distill clinical complexity into engineering decisions without losing the human context
- Previous exposure to healthcare, education, or conversational AI is a plus, but genuine interest in building for better patient outcomes is what matters
