You'll spend mornings reviewing sensor feeds from active job sites and afternoons tuning the event pipelines that turn LiDAR scans into purchase orders. This team owns the entire path from raw measurement to supplier API call—low-latency bidding, inventory reconciliation, and the fraud detection that keeps multimillion-dollar material flows honest. Expect to pair with applied scientists on model serving infrastructure one day and wrestle Terraform modules for Kafka replication the next. The systems you build literally stack bricks.
What they're looking for
- 6+ years shipping production backend systems, including substantial work in either Go or Python at scale
- Deep familiarity with streaming architecture—Kafka or equivalent—and the failure modes of exactly-once processing
- Experience building or consuming GraphQL and REST APIs in polyglot environments (this stack runs TypeScript, Python, and Go)
- Proven comfort with infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native AWS patterns; Terraform fluency preferred
- Track record mentoring engineers and driving technical decisions in small, product-obsessed teams
