An early-stage team building autonomous, off-grid power plants for the AI era.

Robotics Engineer (Electrical / Mechatronics)

San FranciscoOn-site$150K - $250K7+ years
You are the engineer who prefers dirt and high voltage to simulation loops, eager to deploy robots that construct critical infrastructure without a grid connection. This role demands hands-on ownership of electrical and mechatronic systems that operate autonomously in rugged construction environments. You will write embedded firmware in C/C++ to bridge the gap between heavy industrial machinery and intelligent decision-making. If you want your code to physically build the energy backbone of tomorrow's data centers, this is your site.

What they're looking for

  • 7+ years of experience designing electrical systems or mechatronics for field-deployed robots or autonomous vehicles.
  • Expert-level proficiency in C/C++ for embedded firmware development on custom hardware.
  • Proven track record integrating sensors, actuators, and power systems in unstructured outdoor environments.
  • Deep understanding of robotics stacks within construction, manufacturing, or heavy industry contexts.
  • Ability to work on-site in San Francisco or Texas to lead hardware testing and deployment.
