Bringing precision logistics and real-time intelligence to hospital food service, improving patient outcomes and eliminating waste.

Staff Software Engineer

New YorkHybrid$200K - $230K5 - 8 years
We’re rebuilding one of the last corners of healthcare that hasn’t seen a software renaissance: the journey of a meal from kitchen to bedside. Every tray is a small logistics event with dietary constraints, allergies, timing windows, and clinical implications. You’ll craft the full-stack systems that orchestrate this flow—helping hospitals serve the right meal to the right patient at the right moment, while cutting the enormous cost of missed meals and returned trays. The work spans geospatial routing for delivery teams, real-time dietary logic engines, and interfaces that clinical staff actually want to use. It’s a product space where a few hundred milliseconds of latency or a single misrouted tray matters deeply, and where thoughtful engineering directly shortens patient stays.

What they're looking for

  • 5–8 years building and maintaining production systems across the stack, with deep fluency in React, TypeScript, and at least one backend language (Go, Ruby, or Python preferred)
  • Hands-on experience designing data models and query patterns in PostgreSQL, and comfort reasoning about performance at scale
  • Strong intuition for infrastructure-as-code and cloud architecture (AWS) using Terraform—you treat deploys as a first-class product concern
  • Track record of owning features end-to-end in a small, high-trust engineering team, with the communication habits to match
  • Genuine curiosity about complex domains—supply chain, logistics, scheduling, or healthcare integrations will all feel familiar terrain once you’re in the code
