Headcount planning platform for finance teams at rapidly growing companies
Founding Engineer
You'll spend mornings pairing on data pipeline architecture and afternoons whiteboarding how to model headcount scenarios that CFOs actually trust. This is the kind of build where a single MongoDB schema decision shapes whether a Series B company hires 50 people or 200. You'll ship Node services to GCP, debate TypeScript interfaces with the CTO, and occasionally debug why a customer's workforce forecast diverged from their ERP.
What they're looking for
- 2+ years shipping production backend systems, ideally in TypeScript and NodeJS
- Hands-on experience with MongoDB at scale — aggregation pipelines, indexing strategy, the messy parts
- Comfortable building on GCP: Cloud Run, BigQuery, or similar managed services
- Has worked in a codebase where another team (sales, finance, operations) directly consumed your API outputs
- Wants to be in the South Bay office most days, whiteboards and spontaneous design reviews included
