Building the intelligent operating system for a $250B industry still running on paper and email.
Forward Deployed Engineer
This team is rebuilding how the world verifies physical products—from medical devices to construction materials—by replacing fragmented documents and manual checklists with software that understands testing protocols, automates evidence collection, and generates certifications instantly. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will embed directly with early customers to design, build, and ship solutions that turn their messy real-world processes into reliable, API-driven workflows. You'll write code across the stack one day and sit in a lab observing an inspector's routine the next, then bring those insights back to shape the core platform. This is a hands-on, customer-facing engineering role for someone who thrives on making complex legacy operations feel simple and fast.
What they're looking for
- 3–6 years of professional engineering experience, comfortable across frontend and backend—TypeScript, React, Node.js, and Python are daily tools
- Proficiency in at least one systems language (C/C++, Go, or Rust) for performance-sensitive integrations
- Instinct for product design and a track record of collaborating directly with external users to understand their constraints before writing a line of code
- Ability to travel to customer sites across the UK and occasionally Europe—this role is on-site and customer-embedded by nature
- Clear, low-ego communication skills and comfort operating in ambiguous technical environments where the problem definition is part of the work
