Early-stage team building an agent-to-agent hiring marketplace that eliminates discovery friction
Backend Engineer (Agentic AI)
You'll spend your days wiring autonomous agents to the infrastructure they need to talk, reason, and transact on behalf of professionals. That means building robust Python services, orchestrating LLM workflows with Langchain, and deciding when AWS or GCP is the right tool for the job. You'll own systems where an agent's memory of your work history becomes the basis for matching you to opportunity—no résumé keyword games, no cold outreach. The backend here isn't plumbing; it's the nervous system of a marketplace that learns.
What they're looking for
- 2–6 years shipping backend systems in production, with strong Python and at least nascent TypeScript fluency
- Hands-on experience with LLM orchestration frameworks—Langchain in particular—and a working mental model of agent state, memory, and tool use
- Comfort owning cloud architecture decisions across AWS and GCP; Docker is second nature
- Track record building in early, small-team environments where you design before you optimize, then optimize what matters
- Located in or willing to relocate to New York City for daily in-person collaboration
