Solutions Engineer
We’re building the operating system for industrial and life sciences R&D—a platform where scientists and engineers design experiments, capture structured data, and drive decisions that bring new materials, formulations, and therapies to market. As a Solutions Engineer, you’ll sit at the intersection of deep technical work and customer outcomes: prototyping integrations in Python, running live evaluations against customer datasets, and shaping how the platform fits into sprawling, real-world lab workflows. You won’t just demo a UI; you’ll build lightweight proofs of concept, troubleshoot data modeling challenges, and earn trust from research teams who live inside their data every day. This is a hybrid role based in New York, London, or major European hubs, reporting into a sales organization that treats the engineering half of the job as non-negotiable.
What they're looking for
- 4–7 years in a customer-facing engineering role such as solutions engineering, sales engineering, or technical consulting for a B2B software product
- Fluent in Python for data manipulation, API scripting, and building small-scale integrations or prototypes on the fly
- Experience working with structured scientific or manufacturing data—think formulations, material properties, assay results, or production batch records
- Comfortable leading technical discovery, running evaluations, and translating lab-centric workflows into platform configuration without hand-holding
- Strong written and verbal communication, with a track record of explaining complex data concepts to scientists, engineers, and R&D leaders
