We're designing a new kind of workspace where one person can direct over a hundred thousand autonomous agents simultaneously — work that previously required entire teams of human coordinators. This isn't prompt chaining or workflow automation; it's real-time orchestration at a scale that pushes distributed systems to their limits. You'll own the backend architecture that makes this possible, from low-latency control planes to resilient state management across sprawling agent topologies. Every decision you make about concurrency, messaging, and fault tolerance will determine whether our platform feels like magic or chaos to the user on the other side.
What they're looking for
- Deep fluency in Go, with 5–10 years of backend engineering experience and a track record of shipping performant distributed systems
- Strong grasp of Redis, RPC frameworks, and PostgreSQL — you know how to model state, reduce tail latency, and debug contention issues across services
- Comfort working close to the metal when necessary; C or C++ experience for hot-path optimization and systems-level reasoning
- Instinct for product thinking: you care about the user experience shaped by your API design, error handling, and system responsiveness
- Thrives in a small, high-autonomy team (roughly 10 people) where you'll shape not just code but engineering culture from an early stage
