Forward Deployed Software Engineer

This role sits between code and conversation: you'll spend your mornings writing React interfaces and your afternoons on-site with school partners, figuring out what they actually need. You'll shape product decisions from the front lines, not a requirements doc, and you'll see your work change how people teach and learn within weeks, not quarters.

What they're looking for

  • 1–5 years of professional software engineering experience, with strong React fundamentals
  • Comfortable in front of customers—you can lead a working session, ask hard questions, and translate ambiguity into scope
  • Driven by outcomes over outputs; you care more about solving the right problem than shipping the slickest feature
  • Willing to travel domestically roughly one week per month for on-site partner work
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
