Lawyers spend their working lives inside Microsoft Word, yet most AI tools force them into a separate browser tab and a clumsy copy-paste loop. In this role you'll collapse that gap, building the add-in layer that puts intelligent drafting, review, and research directly into the documents attorneys already have open. Expect deep work with OfficeJS, React, and TypeScript, plus the peculiar craft of making a web stack behave inside Word itself.
What they're looking for
- 5+ years of frontend engineering with strong TypeScript, JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS
- Hands-on experience building Office add-ins, ideally with the OfficeJS API and Word
- Comfort debugging inside the quirks of Microsoft Office hosts across platforms
- A product mindset: you care how a contract lawyer actually works, not just how the code compiles
- Prior exposure to legal, document-heavy, or enterprise software is a plus
