As a founding engineer, you will architect and deploy the core models that extract and reason over clinical data to automate these workflows. You will own the research pipeline end-to-end, translating cutting-edge techniques into tangible resolution logic for real financial claims. This is foundational work; your code will directly shape how the product understands clinical context.

What they're looking for

  • 3+ years of experience building and shipping applied ML or AI systems with Python.
  • Deep comfort operating in ambiguity, designing experiments from scratch rather than tuning established pipelines.
  • Strong intuition for bridging research and production, caring as much about latency as accuracy.
  • Ability to work on-site in the South Bay Area alongside a tight, early-stage team.
  • Background or strong interest in healthcare data, clinical ontologies, or financial services is a major plus.
