An AI-first engineering collective acquiring and modernizing the firms that design America's physical infrastructure.
Platform Engineer
We're rebuilding how structural drawings get produced, reviewed, and built — not with chatbots layered on old workflows, but by engineering the stack from the ground up. This role sits at the intersection of cloud infrastructure, developer tooling, and applied AI pipelines, giving you ownership of the systems that let domain experts move 10x faster on real buildings and bridges. You'll shape our AWS footprint, harden CI/CD for a polyglot codebase spanning Kotlin services and Next.js frontends, and make it boringly easy to ship Python inference workloads into production. The work is deeply collaborative with a small, senior team in New York, and the impact lands directly on the physical world — fewer RFIs, tighter tolerances, faster structural reviews.
What they're looking for
- 6+ years building and operating cloud infrastructure, with significant depth in AWS and a demonstrated ability to design for observability and cost from day one
- Fluency in at least one JVM language (Kotlin preferred) and Python, comfortable reviewing code and debugging across the stack
- Experience owning CI/CD pipelines that ship containerized workloads and frontend assets built with modern frameworks like Next.js and Tailwind
- A track record of collaborating directly with product engineers and domain specialists — not just operating infra in isolation — and a preference for working in-person in New York
- Clear-eyed about security and compliance in environments where the artifacts being processed are construction documents, PII-adjacent site data, and proprietary structural models
