Within your first year, you'll ship features that reshape how attorneys negotiate contracts inside the word processor they already live in. You'll tackle the gnarly bridge between legacy document formats and modern web stacks—making strikethroughs, comments, and revision marks feel instantaneous across browsers and Office integrations. The domain is unglamorous until you've watched a deal close two weeks faster because your redlining engine didn't drop a footnote.
What they're looking for
- 5+ years shipping production code across the stack, with recent depth in TypeScript and React
- Demonstrated work on document-heavy interfaces or plugins—think editors, PDF tools, or Office add-ins
- Fluency in the quirks of Microsoft Word's object model, OOXML, or comparable binary document formats
- Comfort owning ambiguous requirements from legal stakeholders who know their workflow better than your spec
- Willingness to anchor in one of our hubs: San Francisco, New York, Chicago, or a Canadian metro, with regular in-person collaboration
