The product sits at the intersection of marketing automation and conversational AI; your backend decisions directly determine whether a local bakery's flash-sale text lands in 500 pockets or gets swallowed by carrier filters.

What they're looking for

  • 6+ years shipping production backend systems, with at least two years in Node.js and TypeScript
  • Deep experience with AWS managed services—Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB or equivalents in anger, not just tutorials
  • Track record building platforms that process high-volume event streams with strict delivery requirements
  • Comfort mentoring early-career engineers while still owning complex technical design
  • San Francisco on-site; you've worked in person with product and go-to-market teams before
