We build software that gives care teams and health plan operators a real-time command layer over their most complex decisions—flagging patients at risk, surfacing gaps in care, and automating the tedious backend logic that slows down modern medicine. As a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer in the Operate track, you will embed with our largest partners to shape how these AI agents land in messy, high-stakes environments. You will write production code that sits at the intersection of a sophisticated model layer and the daily reality of nurses, coordinators, and analysts. This is not a demo-to-handoff role; you will own the technical relationship from deep integration through long-term performance, debugging data pipelines, extending our core platform in TypeScript and Python, and occasionally sitting on the floor of a health system command center to understand why a prediction didn't stick.
What they're looking for
- 5+ years writing production software in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python, with comfort across the stack from React frontends to Node or Python backends
- Experience designing and optimizing relational data models (PostgreSQL, Redis) and a working understanding of vector databases for retrieval-augmented workflows
- Proven ability to operate in a customer-facing engineering capacity—gathering requirements, scoping builds, and managing technical relationships without a formal project manager in the room
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP), containerized deployment (Docker, CI/CD), and distributed data processing (PySpark is a strong plus)
- Deep curiosity about the operational guts of healthcare: you don't need prior industry experience, but you must be willing to learn the acronyms, the compliance constraints, and the clinical workflows that determine whether software actually gets used
