Building a new kind of editor that makes video creation as fluid as thought.
Founding Engineer
We're a small, well-capitalized team attacking the creative friction that slows down professional editors and ambitious creators alike. Our software combines deep media understanding with an interface that feels immediate—imagine the speed and intelligence of a modern code editor, but for picture and sound. You'd join at the ground floor, shaping core architecture, shipping features that turn hours of tedious work into a few keystrokes, and helping define the engineering culture from commit one. This is a role for someone who wants to build tools that genuinely change how stories get told, working alongside a tight-knit group in our San Francisco workspace.
What they're looking for
- Fluency with React and TypeScript for crafting responsive, pixel-level interfaces that stay out of the user's way.
- Comfort across the stack, including systems-level work in Python, Rust, or C/C++ for media pipelines and performance-critical processing.
- A strong bias toward shipping finished work and the judgment to balance craft with speed in an early-stage environment.
- Deep curiosity about the intersection of media, developer tooling, and AI—you care about the end-to-end creator experience.
- 0–5 years of professional experience, with a portfolio or project history that demonstrates thoughtful technical ownership.
