Senior Backend Engineer

Lenders leave too much value trapped on their balance sheets, accepting unnecessary risk or turning away good borrowers. We need a Senior Backend Engineer to architect the data pipelines and API infrastructure that reshape how financial institutions evaluate and capture that value. You will design systems in NodeJS and Python, modeling complex risk signals into PostgreSQL and Snowflake, ensuring our core services scale securely alongside our expanding portfolio. This is in-person engineering in San Francisco, building the foundational logic from the ground up.

What they're looking for

  • 5 to 12 years of backend development experience, with deep proficiency in TypeScript, NodeJS, and Python.
  • Strong architectural background with PostgreSQL and Snowflake, capable of optimizing complex data models and analytical queries.
  • Proven ability to design, build, and maintain robust REST APIs within AWS cloud environments.
  • Experience or strong interest in fintech, B2B financial services, or AI-driven risk infrastructure.
  • Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco, collaborating closely with a tight-knit, growing engineering team.
