Building attritable underwater vehicles that execute independent missions in denied environments.
Senior Embedded Software Engineer
Traditional unmanned systems still assume a path home, creating critical vulnerabilities when operating in contested waters. We need an engineer to write the low-level logic that allows our vehicles to function autonomously long after communication links go dark. You will build reliable firmware for hardware that has no option for remote intervention, writing the code that pilots the craft from silicon to sea.
What they're looking for
- 4-7 years of experience writing embedded firmware in C/C++ or Rust for resource-constrained hardware.
- Comfortable debugging directly on bare-metal systems and robotic hardware in the lab.
- Familiarity with version control workflows in Git across small, collaborative engineering teams.
- Background in defense, robotics, or autonomous vehicles translating sensor data into physical action.
- US citizenship or permanent residency may be required due to the nature of the work.
