We’re tackling the brutal physical reality of turning acres of bare earth into operating solar farms—and we’ve built a fleet of mobile manufacturing robots to do it. This role sits squarely at the intersection of hardware and software: you’ll own the full integration of our robotic systems, from sensor payloads and actuator chains through high-level autonomy code, making sure every component behaves as one cohesive machine in the dust and glare of a real construction site. You’ll debug gremlins that only surface in direct sunlight, shape the architecture that connects perception to motion, and set the standard for how our robots prove themselves reliable before they ship to the field.
What they're looking for
- 4–10 years of professional experience integrating complex mechatronic systems, with deep fluency in both electrical/mechanical debugging and software tooling.
- Strong Python skills for scripting, data analysis, and test automation; comfortable living in Git for collaboration and traceability.
- Demonstrated ability to own the full integration lifecycle—from bench-level bring-up through field validation—on systems that combine sensing, actuation, and autonomous decision-making.
- Sharp troubleshooting instincts when hardware, firmware, and environment interact in unexpected ways; experience with robots that operate outdoors is a strong plus.
- Clear communication habits and a bias for documenting what you learn, so the next integration cycle is faster than the last.
