Building autonomous robots that automate dexterous data center tasks.
Mechanical Design Engineer
Data centers grind to a halt when a GPU fails or a cable snags, and human hands simply cannot keep pace with the scale of modern compute. As our mechanical design engineer, you will architect the precise physical systems that allow robots to manipulate hardware and route fiber in these dense, unforgiving environments. Your work translates concept into steel and carbon fiber, giving our machines the physical dexterity to replace grueling manual labor.
What they're looking for
- 2 to 5 years of hands-on mechanical design experience, ideally in robotics or complex hardware systems
- Deep proficiency with CAD tools for detailed part design, mechanism design, and generating manufacturing drawings
- Proven ability to take mechanisms from early prototyping through to mass production
- Strong intuition for designing around tight kinematic and spatial constraints
- Comfortable working on-site in San Francisco alongside a small, focused engineering team
