Senior Software Engineer — Merchant Success & API
We're building the payments layer that connects health savings accounts directly to the point of sale — and we need someone to own the merchant-facing surface that turns that capability into a seamless onboarding and integration experience. This role sits at the intersection of commerce and healthcare infrastructure, where you'll design APIs, build internal tooling, and craft merchant dashboards that make it effortless for brands to offer HSA/FSA checkout. You'll work end-to-end across a Django backend and a React frontend, shaping not just code but the developer experience for partners who depend on our platform to unlock a new customer base. What they're looking for
- 4+ years building production web applications with Python (Django preferred) and modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Next.js
- Experience designing, documenting, and evolving RESTful APIs that serve third-party developers or external partners
- Comfort working across the stack — from database modeling and backend logic to crafting thoughtful UI for business-facing tools
- A track record of shipping in small, cross-functional teams where autonomy and clear communication matter more than top-down process
