You'll spend mornings pairing with our ML team to wire new forecasting models into production dashboards, then afternoons writing FastAPI services that ingest real-time sensor streams from factory floors. One day you're debugging a PostgreSQL query choking on a million-row equipment telemetry table; the next you're sketching React components that let plant managers spot anomalies without a manual. The codebase is young enough that your architectural choices become conventions, not debt.
What they're looking for
- 3-5 years shipping production software, with substantial work in both Python backends and React frontends
- Experience building data-intensive applications using PostgreSQL and Redis under genuine load, not tutorial scale
- Comfort deploying containerized services with Docker and reasoning about observability in industrial environments where downtime costs six figures
- Track record of working closely with domain experts to translate messy operational reality into clean software abstractions
- Willing to be in San Francisco four days weekly—the physical proximity matters when you're whiteboarding control logic with founders at a whiteboard
