Senior Software Engineer (Backend)
Mental healthcare hasn't meaningfully evolved in decades—same models, same outcomes, same frustrations for patients and clinicians alike. We're building an AI-native platform that fundamentally changes how people access and experience evidence-based therapy, starting with the infrastructure that makes intelligent, responsive care possible. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you'll design and own the services that power clinical decision support, patient-clinician interaction, and secure health data pipelines—shaping a system where software directly improves human wellbeing. This is a ground-floor engineering role on a small, focused team where your architectural instincts and code will define the product for years.
What they're looking for
- 10+ years of backend engineering experience, with deep fluency in Go, NodeJS, and TypeScript
- Strong track record designing and scaling REST APIs for regulated or high-stakes environments
- Comfort with GCP infrastructure and a thoughtful approach to reliability, security, and observability
- Experience navigating early-stage ambiguity—you bring opinions, ask hard questions, and write code that balances speed with long-term maintainability
- Genuine interest in the problem space; prior healthtech or AI-adjacent work is a plus, not a prerequisite
