Software Engineer, Full Stack
We're a small, well-funded Seattle team building a reasoning layer for investment professionals—software that reads, analyzes, and interrogates financial documents at a scale no human analyst can match. As an early full-stack engineer, you'll shape core product surfaces that turn raw SEC filings, earnings transcripts, and market data into an interactive research companion. You'll work across a React frontend, a Python backend, and a data layer spanning PostgreSQL and MongoDB, all deployed on AWS. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role where your decisions on architecture and UX directly influence how the product thinks and how our users make decisions.
What they're looking for
- 2–10 years of professional software engineering experience, with demonstrable fluency across both frontend and backend systems
- Proficiency in Python, React, and TypeScript; comfortable working with PostgreSQL and MongoDB in production
- Experience building and shipping full-stack features on AWS, with a pragmatic approach to infrastructure decisions
- Instinct for designing clean, responsive interfaces that make complex data feel simple and fast
- Interest in finance, language models, or reasoning systems—you don't need Wall Street experience, but you should be curious about the domain
