Programmatic mortgage infrastructure背影 powering modern loan originators
Infrastructure Engineer – Foundation
This team is rebuilding the pipes that move money into homes. They're crafting the foundational infrastructure for a modern mortgage stack—APIs and SDKs that let originators programmaticallyunderwrite, price, and close loans without the decades-old baggage. As their first dedicated infrastructure hire, you'll harden the systems that handle sensitive financial data at scale, making reliability and security intrinsic to every deployment. The work matters because housing finance still runs on brittle legacy rails; you're laying track for something more resilient.
What they're looking for
- 1–4 years building and operating production infrastructure on AWS, with solid fundamentals around networking, IAM, and cost optimization
- Proficiency in TypeScript and experience with PostgreSQL at scale—partitioning, query tuning, backup strategies
- Comfort owning observability: structured logging, metrics, alerting, and incident response as code
- Familiarity with GraphQL APIs and the specific challenges of caching, rate-limiting, and securing federated schemas
- Genuine interest in financial systems and the regulatory gravity of handling mortgage data responsibly
