You'll ship end-to-end features that let researchers query, visualize, and share experimental data across distributed labs. One morning might mean optimizing a Django API for petabyte-scale genomics datasets; the afternoon, pairing with a biologist to refine a Next.js interface for real-time collaboration. This is hands-on work with immediate impact on how science gets done.

What they're looking for

  • 1–4 years shipping production code, with solid Python and TypeScript fundamentals
  • Comfortable across the stack: Django backends, React/Next.js frontends, and the seams between them
  • Experience deploying on GCP or another major cloud platform; infrastructure curiosity counts
  • Genuine interest in scientific research workflows—biology, chemistry, or adjacent fields a plus
  • Based in the Bay Area and able to work on-site in San Francisco or the South Bay
