An early-stage team applying generative voice AI to transform how healthcare practices handle patient conversations and scheduling.
Staff Engineer, Full Stack
We're building agents that don't just talk — they listen, reason, and act on phone calls in real time, starting with one of the most logistically tangled industries in America. As a Staff Engineer, you'll shape the architecture that connects real-time inference pipelines, a React frontend for call monitoring and workflow configuration, and a GraphQL layer that ties it all together. You'll write a lot of Python and TypeScript, but the real work is designing systems that stay responsive when a hundred clinics are running calls simultaneously, and knowing where to trade latency for reliability when a patient's appointment is on the line. This is a high-ownership role on a small team where you'll influence both the product roadmap and the engineering culture from the ground up.
What they're looking for
- 8+ years building full-stack systems, with deep fluency in Python and TypeScript across production services and frontend applications.
- Experience designing and evolving GraphQL APIs that serve internal and external consumers at scale.
- Comfortable reasoning about real-time or event-driven architectures — websockets, streaming, or similar patterns.
- Track record of technical leadership on a small team: setting patterns, mentoring peers, and making pragmatic tradeoff decisions without a spec to follow.
- Interest in voice AI, conversational agents, or applied machine learning; healthcare experience is a strong plus but not required.
