We think email is about to become the connective tissue of the agent economy, and we're starting from a blank sheet. Existing inbox APIs assume a human is at the keyboard; our platform gives AI agents their own native communication layer—programmatic, verifiable, and built from the ground up for software that acts on a user's behalf. This is a chance to shape the product surface and the underlying systems at the earliest possible moment, when every decision compounds. You'll work across the full stack, but your gravitational center will be the interface where developers encounter our SDKs, dashboards, and documentation—the part of the product that earns trust and sets the mental model for everything else. Expect to spend deep time in Figma, code, and direct customer conversation, often all in the same afternoon. San Francisco, in-person.
What they're looking for
- 3–7 years building and shipping software, with a portfolio that demonstrates fluency across frontend and backend boundaries
- Deep comfort in Figma and a genuine enthusiasm for craft-level interaction and visual design
- Clear, confident technical communication—you can write documentation, present a rationale, and think out loud with engineers and non-engineers alike
- Demonstrated ability to operate with high agency in a small, early-stage setting where direction is shaped collectively and ambiguity is the starting condition
- You care about developer experience as a first-class product concern, not an afterthought
