Turning audio into notation so musicians can play, learn, and share faster than ever before.
Growth Engineer
We’re a tiny, funded SF team building an AI engine that listens to music and instantly produces sheet music, MIDI, and piano roll—closing the gap between hearing a song and sitting down to play it. This isn’t a passive listening app; it’s a tool for obsessive learners, teachers, and creators who need transcription to feel invisible. We’re looking for a Growth Engineer who can fuse product intuition with scrappy experimentation, designing the loops that pull casual visitors into a daily musical habit. You’ll write code that surfaces the right prompt at the right moment, build referral flows that musicians actually want to share, and instrument every surface so we learn what sticks. The work sits at the intersection of JavaScript, Python, and Amplitude—plus an opinion on what makes a practice session satisfying.
What they're looking for
- 0–4 years of experience writing production code in JavaScript or Python, with a hunger to work across the stack when an experiment demands it
- A portfolio of growth work or side projects where you moved a metric—conversion, retention, activation—and can explain why the number shifted
- Comfort using analytics tooling like Amplitude, Mixpanel, or a scrappy homegrown alternative to form hypotheses before you build
- Clear written and verbal communication; you’ll pitch experiment ideas to a small, opinionated team and defend your results with data, not jargon
- Excitement for the music education space and a belief that the best growth loops feel like genuine product value, not dark patterns
