You'll own product surfaces that merchants and consumers touch daily, shipping features end-to-end from React front-ends through PHP services to MySQL schemas. The work sits at the border of platform reliability and machine-learning experimentation, where a regression costs revenue and a win scales overnight.
What they're looking for
- 5+ years shipping production code, with deep fluency in React and substantial PHP experience
- Proven ability to design and optimize relational data models under real query load, ideally MySQL at scale
- Track record of building features that sit adjacent to ML or ranking systems—not training them, but making them usable
- Comfort owning ambiguous product problems from zero-to-one, not just executing predefined specs
- On-site in New York; early founding team members still code-review regularly and expect tight collaboration loops
