You'll ship complete features end-to-end: trading PostgreSQL schemas for inventory sync APIs, wrestling React components into clean Tailwind layouts, and debugging AWS Lambda cold starts at 10pm because a distributor's weekend restock depends on it. One morning you're pairing with the CTO on a NodeJS event pipeline; the afternoon, you're whiteboarding how AI should handle edge cases in purchase-order matching. The codebase is young enough that your architectural decisions compound, not rot.

What they're looking for

  • 2-6 years building production systems in TypeScript, NodeJS, and React with genuine scars to show
  • Comfort owning data models in PostgreSQL and reasoning through concurrency, retries, and eventual consistency
  • Fluency with at least one major cloud platform (AWS or GCP) beyond managed dashboards—IAM, networking, when to use serverless versus not
  • Willingness to work in-person with a tiny team in New York, with all the creative friction and rapid trust-building that demands
  • Genuine interest in logistics, supply chains, or the unglamorous plumbing that keeps commerce moving
