Autonomous machines are coming to the dirt pile, and this role is where their software meets the real world. You will ship to customer sites, instrument robot-driven excavators and haul trucks, chase down field failures, and translate what operators and crews tell you into fixes the whole platform benefits from. It is equal parts solutions engineering, field support, and product gut-check: the last mile between a model that works on the bench and one that earns its keep on a working site. Expect real responsibility from day one at a small, well-funded team based in the South Bay.
What they're looking for
- 2-10 years in software engineering, with time spent on customer-facing deployments, solutions, or field support
- Comfortable owning code and hardware in the field: on-site commissioning, instrumentation, triage, and rapid fixes
- Ability to translate operator feedback and site realities into engineering action without a lot of hand-holding
- Willing to work on-site in the South Bay and travel to quarries, mines, and construction projects
- Bonus: background in robotics, off-highway equipment, or industrial automation
