Commerce is needlessly detached from where people spend their digital lives. As the first engineering hire at a recently funded New York startup, you will architect the core systems that let any platform weave transactions directly into their user experience. You will shape the foundational architecture, make critical database decisions, and transform early prototypes into reliable infrastructure for real buyers and sellers.
What they're looking for
- 1 to 4 years building production software with TypeScript and React
- Solid grasp of relational database design using PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Willingness to work on-site in New York alongside a tiny, focused team
- Bias toward shipping practical solutions rather than over-engineering
