You'll spend your mornings debugging a model that reads tenancy agreements, your afternoons shipping features that predict maintenance costs before a boiler fails, and some evenings pairing with product to figure out why a landlord in Leeds trusts the system more than their own gut. The code you write sits between raw property data and decisions that affect thousands of households. Three days a week you might not speak to another human in real-time; the other two you'll whiteboard architecture with the ML team in London and debate whether a confidence threshold should be 0.87 or 0.89.
What they're looking for
- 3+ years building production ML systems, not just notebooks that never shipped
- Fluency in Python for model work and TypeScript/Node.js for the services that serve it
- Solid grasp of PostgreSQL at scale: you've designed schemas and optimized queries that survive real load
- Comfort owning a model from prototype through deployment, monitoring, and the cold email when it drifts
- Based in UK or Europe, legally authorized to work there, and experienced in remote collaboration across time zones
