You'll spend mornings prototyping shielding enclosures and afternoons thermal-testing chassis for field-deployed systems. The work sits at the intersection of physical security and ruggedized hardware—every tolerance stack you solve ends up in conditions where failure isn't an option. Right now the team is small enough that your CAD decisions reach fabrication same-day.
What they're looking for
- 2–7 years designing mechanical systems for harsh-environment or defense-adjacent hardware
- Proficiency in thermal management, EMI shielding, and tight-tolerance machining constraints
- Hands-on prototyping skills from manual assembly through basic shop fabrication
- SolidWorks or equivalent parametric CAD fluency with released BOM and drawing experience
- U.S. person status or ability to obtain security clearance; on-site work in Los Angeles required
