Agentic AI platform modernizing enterprise HR operations

Staff Platform Engineer

San FranciscoHybrid$200K - $250K7 - 15 years
You'll spend your mornings diagnosing why a training cluster in us-west-2 is throttling, your afternoons writing Python automation to cut deployment rollback time from twenty minutes to two, and your evenings whiteboarding how to split a monolithic inference service before next quarter's customer expansion. This is infrastructure work that directly shapes whether HR teams get reliable AI outputs at 9 AM Monday or degraded responses during payroll week.

What they're looking for

  • 7+ years building and operating production platforms on AWS, with deep familiarity of at least three core services beyond basic EC2/S3 usage
  • Proficient in Python for automation, tooling, and infrastructure-as-code; you've shipped libraries or CLIs other engineers actually adopted
  • Track record of designing systems that recover gracefully—demonstrated incident response, postmortem culture, and measurable reliability improvements
  • Experience supporting ML or inference workloads: GPU scheduling, model serving bottlenecks, or autoscaling non-standard compute
  • Comfortable mentoring senior engineers and negotiating technical tradeoffs with product teams in a roughly 30-person engineering environment
