Chip teams lose months chasing elusive bugs that the best engineers learn to spot in minutes. This team is codifying that hard-won judgment—the pattern recognition and debugging instinct of veteran verification engineers—into AI-native playbooks that find issues before they become schedule-killers. As a founding engineer on the core platform, you'll design the systems that ingest, reason over, and act on complex hardware design data, working at the intersection of LLMs, program analysis, and the gritty realities of EDA tooling. You'll shape everything from the agent architecture to the developer experience, collaborating directly with early design partners who ship silicon at massive scale.
What they're looking for
- 5+ years building production systems, with deep fluency in at least two of Python, TypeScript, Rust, C/C++, or Go
- Experience applying large language models or machine learning to code, structured data, or reasoning-heavy domains
- Comfort navigating hardware-adjacent workflows—verification, RTL, EDA tools, or low-level systems programming
- Track record of owning architecture decisions and shipping 0-to-1 products in small, high-autonomy teams
- Willingness to work on-site in San Francisco and collaborate closely with a tight-knit founding group
