We're a small, well-funded team of engineers and researchers who believe that the biggest bottleneck in medicine isn't a lack of promising molecules—it's the decade-long, billion-dollar machinery required to prove they work. We're rethinking clinical trials from the ground up, building systems that let researchers run adaptive, data-rich studies at a fraction of the traditional cost and timeline. As the most senior individual contributor on a team of seven, you'll shape the full-stack architecture that ingests messy healthcare data, serves clean analytical surfaces to our machine learning pipelines, and surfaces insights in interfaces that clinical researchers actually want to use. This is a role for someone who writes code every day, mentors by example, and can navigate the ambiguity of an early product without craving a middle manager title.
What they're looking for
- 8+ years building and shipping production software across the stack, with deep fluency in Python and TypeScript
- Demonstrated ability to design data-intensive applications—you've wrestled with normalization, streaming, or batch processing at scale
- Strong frontend instincts with React; you don't need to be a designer, but you care about the researcher's experience as much as the backend throughput
- Comfortable owning CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure decisions, with a bias toward shipping incrementally and learning from live systems
- Prior exposure to healthcare, life sciences, or regulated data environments is a real advantage—you understand why audit trails and reproducibility aren't optional
