We’re building a platform that absorbs the paperwork, faxes, phone calls, and insurance tangles that slow down specialty prescribing—so clinicians and pharmacy staff can actually practice at the top of their license. As our first engineering hire outside the founders, you’ll shape both the product and the engineering culture from the ground up. The work spans designing data models for complex prior authorization workflows, crafting fast, clinician-facing interfaces, and wiring together intelligent automation that gets prescriptions approved days faster. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role in a tiny, funded team that ships daily and measures success in patients treated, not tickets closed.
What they're looking for
- 4–7 years of professional software engineering experience, with deep comfort in at least one of Python, Ruby, or Java
- Proficiency with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred) and caching layers like Redis
- Experience building modern web frontends using React and TypeScript
- A track record of working in small, high-autonomy teams—ideally at an early-stage startup or within a lean product group
- Clear communication skills and the instinct to pair technical decisions with real-world clinical or operational outcomes
