Your mornings might start by tuning the Python services that orchestrate video rendering jobs across AWS, and end by shipping a new TypeScript API endpoint that lets a client trigger thousands of personalized video variants from a single template. This is the engineer who owns the pipelines end to end: queueing, storage, autoscaling, the CI/CD setup, the parts that decide whether a campaign renders in four minutes or forty. You would join a small, recently funded team in San Francisco where the backend you build is the product. Compensation lands between $225K and $275K, and the role is on-site.
What they're looking for
- 5-10 years of backend engineering experience, with recent production ownership of distributed systems
- Strong Python and TypeScript skills; comfort with FastAPI or comparable async frameworks
- Hands-on AWS experience, including containerized workloads (Docker) and automated CI/CD pipelines
- Experience processing or serving large media assets (video, images, audio) is a big plus
- Comfort working on a roughly ten-person early-stage team where code ships daily and scope is yours to define
