We believe the next leap in productivity won't come from software alone — it will come from machines that can see, reason, and act in the physical world. This team is building general-purpose autonomous robots from the ground up: custom hardware, learned perception, and motion planning that actually works outside a lab. It's early. The stack is still taking shape, and every person who joins leaves fingerprints on the architecture. You'll own the connective tissue between perception, planning, and control — the platform layer that turns research ideas into machines that reliably do useful things. If the gap between a promising demo and a machine that works every time is where you live, this is your kind of problem.
What they're looking for
- 1+ years of professional experience building or integrating software on real robot platforms — simulation alone doesn't count here
- Deep comfort with modern C++ and Python in production settings, including profiling, debugging, and reasoning about latency budgets
- Experience owning system-level integration across perception, planning, or control modules on a physical robot
- Demonstrated ability to debug cross-stack failures — you can trace a gripper misalignment back through the planner, the state estimator, and the sensor pipeline
- Bias toward getting the robot working on real hardware, even when the tooling or abstractions aren't finished yet
