Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack

You'll build the core banking platform that millions of people and merchants rely on daily — from seamless onboarding flows to real-time transaction systems. The work spans TypeScript backends in NodeJS and polished React interfaces, with a mandate to ship thoughtfully and own features end-to-end. We're looking for someone who treats financial software as a craft problem, not just a throughput metric, and who wants their code to make credit, savings, and payments genuinely work better for an underserved market. This is a hands-on engineering role on a lean, experienced team in San Francisco.
What they're looking for
- 4–8 years of professional experience building and maintaining production full-stack systems in JavaScript/TypeScript, with deep comfort in both NodeJS and React.
- A track record of designing APIs and data models that handle real money, strict compliance constraints, or high-reliability environments.
- Strong product intuition — you can push back on a spec, suggest a simpler UX, and spot edge cases before they reach customers.
- Clear communication and a bias for in-person collaboration; you thrive working alongside engineers, designers, and founders in an office setting.
- Fluency with modern testing, observability, and CI/CD practices, plus the pragmatism to know when a lightweight solution beats a complex one.
