Your first year starts with a mandate that few mobile engineers get: own the architecture of a trading and payments experience from the moment someone opens the app. You will ship a Swift-based interface that turns market data, order flow, and multi-asset custody into something that feels as responsive as a consumer app but handles the stakes of institutional finance. This means sweating the milliseconds between a price update and a screen render, designing offline-aware transaction flows, and building the component library that a growing engineering team will rely on for years. You will work directly with the people designing the order book and the settlement layer — there is no middle layer of product managers buffering you from the engineers who write the matching engine.
What they're looking for
- Deep fluency in Swift and a strong point of view on iOS architecture patterns you've battle-tested in production
- Experience wiring mobile clients to REST APIs and WebSocket streams where latency and consistency are both non-negotiable
- Comfort owning CI/CD pipelines and build tooling for a mobile codebase that multiple engineers ship to daily
- At least 3 years building consumer-facing apps where real-time data, user assets, or financial instruments were core to the experience
