Your mornings start in the database: tuning queries that power creator search, sketching schema changes for a new booking flow, then pairing with a teammate to ship a TypeScript service before lunch. You'll own the plumbing behind gig matching, contracts, and payouts — the unglamorous code that decides whether a brand finds the right creator in seconds or gives up. It's a junior-friendly seat at an early-stage New York team that ships weekly, where your first pull request lands in production during week one and your models get stress-tested by real transactions immediately. The pay band is $130K–$200K, tuned to what you can actually do rather than years on a résumé.
What they're looking for
- Comfortable writing TypeScript on the server and SQL beyond basic SELECTs — you know when an index matters
- 0–2 years of experience, including internships, bootcamps, or serious side projects shipped to real users
- Ability to work on-site in New York City; the whole team builds together in person
- Curiosity about marketplaces: matching, pricing, and the messy human logic behind a booking
- Honesty about what you don't know yet, plus the drive to close those gaps fast
