Senior/Staff AI Product Engineer
We're a small, well-funded team in San Francisco convinced that the interface between people and their work is about to change completely. We're building a unified assistant that doesn't just chat — it acts: drafting, researching, coordinating, and executing across the tools you already use. This isn't a wrapper or a demo; it's a product that has to feel immediate, reliable, and almost invisible in its intelligence. You'll own large surfaces of that experience, shaping how reasoning models surface the right action at the right moment and how the system learns from every interaction. The work sits at the intersection of ambitious frontend engineering, prompt architecture, and product thinking — shipping daily to users who live inside this thing all day.
What they're looking for
- 5+ years building and shipping consumer-facing product software, with significant depth in TypeScript, React, and modern UI architecture
- Demonstrated fluency with large language models in production — you've designed prompt chains, managed context windows, and handled the uncertainty of model outputs in real user flows
- A portfolio of work where you made high-agency product decisions, not just executed specs — you can point to features you shaped from an insight, not a ticket
- Comfortable reasoning about backend systems and data models enough to unblock yourself and move fast end-to-end
- Strong bias toward craft in interaction design and copy; you notice when an animation is 200ms too slow or a sentence feels robotic
