Senior Fullstack Engineer, Payments
We're rebuilding the financial plumbing that powers how investors move money into alternative assets—an ecosystem that still runs on paper checks and opaque processes. As the lead engineer on our payments team, you'll design and own the full-stack architecture that handles high-value transactions across escrow, ACH, wires, and instant settlement rails, ensuring every dollar moves with speed, clarity, and compliance. You'll work deep in the stack, from modeling ledger data in PostgreSQL and orchestrating payment logic in Python to crafting precise, low-friction checkout flows in React and TypeScript. This isn't a maintenance role. You'll have the mandate to rethink settlement workflows from scratch, integrate directly with Stripe's API surface, and collaborate with product and compliance to turn regulatory complexity into a competitive advantage.
What they're looking for
- 4+ years building and shipping full-stack applications, with deep familiarity in Python on the backend and React with TypeScript on the frontend
- Experience integrating payment processors (Stripe preferred) and handling the edge cases that come with ACH returns, wire delays, and multi-party settlement
- Comfort modeling complex financial workflows in PostgreSQL—you think in transactions, idempotency keys, and audit trails
- A track record of owning a feature or system end-to-end, from technical design through deployment and monitoring in an AWS environment
- Clear communication and a low-ego approach to working across engineering, product, and compliance teams on systems where correctness matters as much as speed
